Let Me Give You Money

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008

Actually let my work, here is what we need:

  • Content Manager (another me): Someone familiar with large content based sites, we have 500,000 documents and need to get to 10 million. Experience in the areas of vertical based content with heavy SEO goodness a must. The ability to reach out and setup content partnerships with large websites/businesses. This is a full time job, soon to be located in Santa Monica, CA. If you refer someone who works out after 3 months I’ll give you $500.
  • Wordpress Plugin Developer: We need to create an plugin very similar to easytube. In addition to easing the embed process, it needs to pull and select content directly from our site as well. This is a one time contract gig. Our site is ASP.net btw, strange I know. :)

Email seanp at docstoc.com for more info/resumes.

Wow, I’m blogging from my iPhone with the new wordpress iPhone app. The interface is great. You can blog locally and publish later.

I think you can add images inline (find out after I publish this post). One major thing missing is the ability to link text. However without cut & paste, it is already a challenge to share links on the iPhone.

Updated:

  • Added links via the old fashioned way
  • Here is a video from Wordpress

Seesmic Video Blog Comments, Is Anyone Going to Use Them?

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

Let’s find out! I just installed the new Seesmic Wordpress plug-in here on my blog. From what I recall I first saw video blog comments over at Mashable. Mike at Techcrunch followed shortly after (come on buddy gotta keep up with us kids) using Seesmic. So really though, the question is are people going to use them? Personally I think its a great way to keep the conversation going on a blog post. Ok, so some users have a face made for typing, still anyone can better express themselves through audio/video.

There is one nice feature with this plug-in which allows for anonymous video comments. This helps lower the bar a bit becuase not everyone is has Seesmic account. All the user needs is an active web cam flash installed to get started. I’m going to leave it open and see if anything interesting comes through. Just no video Viarga comments please. :)

Look in the bottom left corner under the comment box. Say hello!

Update: Seesmic put together a little video about the plug-in as well.
