Electuration 2008

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

It has been amazing to watch tonight’s election through so many mediums. Throughout the day it was CNN satellite radio. As it all went down, Twitter and CNN HD. Finally now at home with the fireplace on, through my laptop.

Browsing the river of data being shared is amazing, the saturation point of online activity taken to a new level tonight. Somehow throughout it all, Twitter even managed to stay online. This type of swarm is significant to me because its one of the challenges we are trying to address at Tsavo. How do you filter down such massive activity into an elegant and relevant experience?

So until that’s ready, I thought I’d put together a nice roundup of some of the gems I found.

Please do enjoy:

Dixville Notch Voting Results

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

Dixville Notch has been the first to post voting results since 1960. Every time (other than when Nixon ran) the town has gone Republican, seems even small town real Americans are looking for a change.

Listen to the Palin Prank Call

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

Sarah Palin has unwittingly taken a prank call from a Canadian comedian posing as French President Nicolas Sarkozy and told him she may make a good president in eight years.

The Republican vice presidential nominee discussed politics, the perils of hunting with Vice President Dick Cheney, and Sarkozy’s “beautiful wife,” in the telephone call released Saturday.

When the caller told Palin she would make a good president, she laughed and replied: “Maybe in eight years.”
