I don’t get why you post all these stories of shootings, plane crashes and celebrity arrests to your personal site. Is that the price you’re willing to pay to get a little Google juice and be able to post your Daymix widget and Twirlit link?

@Joost
Yes.
I experiment with trends based search traffic here. These are stories of national interest, I provide a way to find out more info about the topic.

ONE OF THE REASONS BEHIND THE SHOOTING WAS THE ASSAILANT WAS ASHAMED OF HIS LACK OF ADEQUATE JOB SKILLS. AS THE YEAR GOES ON ,THERE WILL BE MANY MORE STORIES LIKE THIS.THAT’S THE REAL TRAGEDY BEHIND THE TRAGEDY.

It seems like an unusual response to lack of job skills: a murderous rampage like that. It’s still an isolated incident that gets alot of attention in the press.

THE CONSTANT JACKHAMMERING SOUND OF BAD ECONOMIC NEWS WILL DRIVE MANY PEOPLE OVER THE EDGE. WATCH DURING THE COURSE OF THIS YEAR FOR MORE SHOOTINGS LIKE BINGHAMTON,MORE NEWSPAPERS LIKE THE BOSTON GLOBE GOING TITS UP,DEMONSTRATIONS ,MASS MURDERS,SUICIDES(much in the same way people jumped off window ledges in the ’30s),and THE POSSIBILITY OF A NEW WORLD WAR( Remember ,the Depression of the ’30s led to WWII,and the current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan could escalate as well).

Jeremy, you are clueless. The great depression did not lead to WWII. The harsh conditions that Germans were living under following their defeat in WWI (in the 1920′s- while the economy was flourishing) is what led to their great resentment and allowed Hitler to ascend to power. And the fact that everyone was sick of fighting after WWI kept the world from challenging the Germans as they stockpiled weaponry….
It had nothing to do with the Great Depression.

MY BAD. I DIDN’T MEAN TO IMPLY THE DEPRESSION LED TO WWII. ALTHOUGH IT IS SOMETHING TO CONSIDER THAT THE DESPERATION THAT MANY GERMANS FELT AFTER THEIR DEFEAT LED THEM TO FOLLOW A FANATIC LIKE HITLER,MUCH IN THE SAME WAY MANY MUSLIMS FELT ANGERED BY SOME ASPECTS OF “FOREIGN” CULTURES IN THEIR WAY OF LIFE,WHICH DROVE THEM TO FOLLOW FUNDAMENTALIST FANATICS LIKE THE AYATOLLAH KHOMEINI,SADDAM HUSSEIN,THE TALIBAN,& OSAMA BIN LADEN. “FEAR LEADS TO ANGER,ANGER LEADS TO HATE, HATE CAUSES SUFFERING.”
