Quit treating the mormons as a scapegoat for losing. Just cause they raised some money, they are the ones to blame? Thats so hypocritical also. You are fighting for your rights correct? Well can’t mormons use THEIR RIGHTS of free speech to speak out on an open issue?

Look at the numbers. 5.6 millions people voted yes on prop 8. There are 700,000 total mormons in calif. What about the other 4.9 million people? Why not target them and protest on their door? Those include catholics, jews, christians, orthodox, blacks, hispanics, asian etc.
Mormons were only a small part of the total numbers. The funding played a small part. A sign isn’t going to make up someone’s mind on an issue like this ! Ignorance!!

Bob you seem slow, also Mormon.

  3. liao Says:

the rights of freedom of speech does not include the right of hatred. no rights in the Constitution says that you have the right to take away what’s rightful belonged to the people. right; right; right.

  4. Tom Raymond Says:

For the record, I’m not Mormon. Having said that, the majority spoke. They said something that you don’t agree with.

It’s not the Mormons who are attempting to rewrite what the word ‘marriage’ has meant for the last 2,000 years of western civilization.

And, liao, like it or not, yes, ‘hate’ is protected speech — go watch ‘Skokie’ starring Danny Kaye as to why that needs to be so.
