Google Turns 1,000,000,000,000

Wow… Google announced today that they have over 1 trillion pages in their index. Even after removing a majority of the duplicate content out there. That is just amazing, a true testimate the amount of data living on the web today.

Now its up to us (you) to make some sense of it all. While Google is and may always be the well, niche search and verticalized content is going to be the bucket that brings you exactly what you need.

Better living through aggregation, humans and intelligent data silos.

    Very true Sean, the only thing I wanted to mention is that no matter how much we grow to rely on niche search and human recommendations for information, Google will still continue to index every recommendation we generate (on Twitter or FriendFeed or Mahalo) and it is only up to us to make sure that we manage to get some water out of that well.
