The layout of Friend Feed seems to add to the ability to grab friends faster - I can actually see multiple users around a comment / conversation - if I like what they say, I subscribe to them.  Not so easy on twitter.  Plus I can see a lot more info about people on FF.  Its just a more open neighborhood to connect, share ideas and respond to those ideas, and to see others doing the same thing, or so it seems to me...</description>
